Credit Union

Our school credit union is in conjunction with Crosshaven/Carrigaline Credit Union. Our School Credit Union is run once a week by a team of Transition Years.

Students from all year groups can attend the Credit Union at lunch time on Wednesdays and can set up an account or lodge money into their savings. There are many incentives to save with our credit union and there are weekly prizes to be won for any student that attends.

Prizes include, Mahon Point vouchers, cinema vouchers, Easter eggs, selection boxes, chocolate bars and lollipops!

6th Year Credit Union Bursary:

Each year, the Crosshaven Credit Union run a Bursary Scheme for all 6th year students in Coláiste Muire Crosshaven.

A Bursary is a scheme to help students with their further education costs next year. The person who receives this Bursary will receive €1000 from the Credit Union towards their education next year. Further education can include, university, college, apprenticeships, training, trade etc.

All you need to do is to have an account with Crosshaven/Carrigaline credit union and save regularly with the school between here and May. You will also have to write a 500 word essay at the end of the year which you will receive more information on closer to the time.

In the meantime, all you have to do is attend the Credit Union in Ms Cooper’s room at the beginning of lunch on a Wednesday where weekly prizes are also to be won including vouchers and easter eggs.

If you are not a member and want to become one, go to Ms Clifford at any time to receive a form.

Thank you from all the Credit Union team.
